<p>Cestodes of the genus <i>Spirometra</i> are known for their complex life cycles, which involve aquatic and terrestrial hosts, with humans serving as the incidental hosts. This study presents a proteomic dataset of <i>Sparganum proliferum</i> and <i>Spirometra mansoni</i>, two medically important <i>Spirometra</i> group species that exhibit distinct plerocercoid developmental patterns. Using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), we analysed secreted proteins from the proliferative and non-proliferative plerocercoids to gain insight into the molecular basis of asexual proliferation, host-parasite interactions, and potential therapeutic targets. The dataset, which includes raw mass spectrometry files, peptide spectral matches, and protein functional annotations, is publicly available in jPOSTrepo (PXD063547 and PXD063548). This resource provides valuable data for helminth researchers investigating cestode biology and host-manipulation strategies.</p>
