摘要

Heritage science has become a recognised discipline, and understanding its recent development is essential for shaping its future. This paper presents four complementary studies: a machine learning analysis of over 290,000 papers showing rapid expansion; a case study of 172 Heritage Science articles demonstrating interdisciplinarity; an examination of doctoral career trajectories; and a survey capturing professional perspectives on identity. Together, these studies provide a foundation for supporting the field’s continued growth.
