摘要

The illicit trade of architectural elements poses a long-standing challenge to cultural heritage conservation yet remains largely overlooked. This paper highlights the need to interlink heritage metadata and visual data for identifying architectural elements. The proposed mapping concept connects existing vocabularies with data models, visual data viewers, and geospatial information. Such interoperability aids in heritage crime prevention and sparks debate on safeguarding architectural elements and global cultural heritage.
