Air pollution and its impact on stone heritage sites: mechanisms and mathematical models

Stone heritage suffers from serious air pollution through chemical, physical and biological deterioration. The deterioration mechanisms are profoundly studied to assist establishing proper stone heritage conservation techniques. The interactions and influence of air pollution on stone heritage were simulated via a series of mathematical models. Perspective illustrates the future trend on stone heritage conservation by utilizing advanced techniques, e.g., AI tools which provide valuable information on stone heritage conservation.
