摘要

The study of agreements holds significant reference value for the development of human contractual culture. This research compiles and analyses the digitized length information of Qing Dynasty civilian agreements in Yongtai County, Fujian Province, China, to summarize the regional characteristics of the Chinese contractual culture contained therein and infer the reasons behind them. The study indicates that the length characteristics of civilian agreements in this region vary across different periods of the Qing Dynasty and among different villages in Yongtai County. This likely suggests spatial and temporal differences in the development of contractual culture in the region, corresponding to changes over time and among villages.
