<p>Despite the crucial role of urban traffic services in ensuring efficient mobility in cities globally, insufficient evidence exists about the influence of traffic management systems, road safety measures and infrastructure quality on the satisfaction of commuter bus operators. The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of urban road traffic services on the satisfaction of commuter bus operators based on the Systems theory and SERVQUAL theory. This study employs a deductive approach to derive empirical evidence from the hypothesized relationships based on a randomly selected sample of commuter bus operators in Dar es Salaam city. The multiple linear regression model was used to test the significance of conceptualized relationships. The findings show that all three dimensions: traffic management systems, road safety measures, and road infrastructure quality have a positive and statistically significant effect on the satisfaction of commuter bus operators. Nevertheless, all the three dimensions of urban traffic services exert low influence on satisfaction of commuter bus operators. The findings call the government for deliberate efforts which would lead to the improvement of each of the three dimensions based on the order of priority derived from the dimensions’ ranking.</p>
