摘要

Corrosion poses significant economic and environmental challenges in industry; thus, sustainable solutions are needed to mitigate its impact. This comprehensive review explores the green synthesis of environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitors derived from renewable sources, focusing on their biodegradability, toxicity, and environmental compatibility. This paper examines various extraction techniques, highlighting their role in enhancing inhibitory efficiency while reducing the ecological footprint. In addition, real-world applications and experimental insights demonstrate the effectiveness of green corrosion inhibitors in various industrial settings. This review highlights the importance of tailor-made solutions for long-term protection by analyzing different types of corrosion and their mechanisms. The findings support a shift toward sustainable corrosion prevention strategies, encouraging innovations that align with regulatory standards and global environmental concerns.
