<p><i>Isodon</i> <i>atroruber</i> R. A. Clement (Lamiaceae), is reported new to the flora of India from Tawang district, Arunachal Pradesh. It is morphologically allied to <i>Isodon</i> <i>neorensis</i> Ranjan, G. Krishna &amp; Anant Kumar, but clear morphological differences can be traced on closer examination of the floral characters. Taxonomic description along with photo-plate, distribution map, comparison with the allied species and notes on phenology, habitat and distribution&#xa0;have been provided in this current communication to aid in easy identification of the species.</p>
