A facile green synthesis of bismuth oxide nanoparticles (BiONPs) mediated through bark extract of Moringa Oleifera lam. And characterisation

Moringa oleifera is a well-known universal plant which is the source of many vitamins and minerals. Due to rich source of vitamins, it has multiple pharmacological applications. Every part of it has been widely used as a mediator in the green synthesis of metal nanoparticles. Bismuth oxide nanoparticles (BiONPs) have attracted a lot of interest in the field of therapeutics and diagnosis due to their unique physicochemical qualities that revolutionize medical treatment by making it more effective and less poisonous. The study aims to explore the pharmacological capability of Moringa oleifera (Moringaceae) along with the green synthesis of metal nanoparticles (BiONPS) mediated through bark extract. Where BiONPs produced from the bark extract of M. oleifera demonstrated substantial suppression of both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. The green synthesis of colloidal nano-bismuth utilising M. oleifera bark extract as a reducing agent was discovered to have strong inhibitory activity against numerous species of bacteria, including E. coli, Streptococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aerginosa, and Klebsiella pneumonia.The bark extract has shown effective antibacterial properties, and BiONPs were characterized using SEM, FTIR, EDX, XRD, and Gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC-MS). After characterisation BiONPS were found to be nano size 50–60 nm with crystallinity.Cyclohexanedicarbonitrile, Formamide, N-formyl-N-methyl, Ethyleniminoacetonitryl were found among the main compounds by GC-MS analysis which might be showing various pharamocological activities due to active imino, acetonitrile, carbonitrile active components.
