By documenting this rare presentation, this report contributes to the growing understanding of overuse injuries in skeletally immature athletes, emphasizing the need for early recognition and targeted preventive measures.</p> Case <p>A 13-year-old boy presented to our clinic with chronic left-sided hip pain that proved to be secondary to a triradiate cartilage overuse injury. The patient was managed nonoperatively with rest and cessation of competitive sports. After a period of 3-months, a follow-up MRI revealed a slightly decreased signal along the tri-radiate cartilage and the patient’s symptoms resolved.</p> Conclusion <p>This case underscores the importance of early recognition and management of stress-related overuse injuries in adolescent athletes. It demonstrates that even low-impact, repetitive activities can lead to significant complications, such as premature physeal closure. Clinicians should maintain a high index of suspicion for overuse injuries in young athletes presenting with persistent, localized pain, even in the absence of acute trauma. Early diagnosis and appropriate intervention can help prevent long-term skeletal complications and promote better outcomes for patients.</p>
