摘要

Noise pollution is a significant public health risk, linked to various adverse effects, including annoyance, sleep disturbances, cognitive impairment, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases. This study focused on noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) among male Air Force soldiers exposed to intense aircraft noise. Auditory assessments evaluated cochlear and auditory nerve function and included examinations of autonomic responses and cognitive functions. Blood plasma analysis encompassed cardiac biomarkers, oxidative stress indicators, inflammatory markers, and neurotransmitters. The results showed varying degrees of hearing impairment, particularly a high-frequency notch indicative of noise exposure. Our result analysis revealed that NIHL correlates with oxidative stress, coagulation, and systemic inflammation. This study underscores the severe impact of aircraft noise on hearing and health, highlighting the need for effective noise management and protective measures in noisy environments.
