摘要

Amid rising graduate unemployment in Ghana, this study investigates the entrepreneurial intentions of final-year prospective teachers, who face uncertain job prospects despite entrepreneurial education. Using the cross-sectional survey design, data were gathered from 871 final-year prospective teachers in two public universities in Ghana. A multi-group partial least squares structural equation modelling analysis revealed that entrepreneurial attitudes, entrepreneurial efficacy, subjective norms, and access to capital significantly influence the entrepreneurial intentions of final-year prospective teachers. It was also revealed that the influence of attitude, entrepreneurial efficacy, and access to capital on entrepreneurial intentions was stronger for female students than for male students. However, the impact of subjective norms on entrepreneurial intentions was stronger for male students than for females. Based on the results, constructive recommendations for policy and practice were provided.
