摘要

This paper identifies knowledge gaps and future directions in complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) research. Using the bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERTopic) model, this review identified five prominent topics: the essential role of trauma in childhood and adolescence; the need for tailored treatment modalities; the persistent comorbidity with borderline personality disorder (BPD); the validation of measures (including the International Trauma Questionnaire); and the unique challenges of high-risk groups such as veterans and refugees. This review invites greater awareness of this complex disorder and elicits areas of consensus, novel themes, and ongoing challenges in diagnosis, assessment, and treatment.
