Validating the 5 H psychological framework for sustainable organizational behavior
摘要
This study developed and validated a multidimensional instrument to assess the 5 H framework, Head, Heart, Hand, Hip, and Heel, which captures key workplace behaviors influencing employee engagement and organizational success. The research followed a three-phase approach: (1) developing 20 items based on a comprehensive literature review and expert input, (2) conducting exploratory factor analysis (EFA) to establish the framework’s structure, and (3) performing confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) using data from 386 employees at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi. The CFA results confirmed an excellent model fit and strong psychometric properties, with composite reliability (CR) exceeding 0.7 and average variance extracted (AVE) surpassing 0.5 across all dimensions. Discriminant validity was also established, reinforcing the instrument’s theoretical integrity. Beyond academic settings, the 5 H framework applies to organizations of all sizes across public and private sectors. It serves as a practical tool for assessing and improving strategic vision, emotional engagement, operational efficiency, well-being, and continuous development. By integrating this framework into HR strategies and leadership practices, organizations can enhance performance, innovation, and resilience. The validated instrument provides actionable insights for leaders, HR professionals, and researchers, contributing to both theory and practice in modern workplace management.
