Vollnarkose bei Zahnbehandlungen
摘要
Dental treatment of patients under general anaesthesia requires careful planning and execution. Particularly in patients with disabilities or underlying medical conditions, potential interactions with medications must be taken into account, as complications are likely to arise. Against this background, the present study surveyed anaesthetists and dentists working in both outpatient and hospital settings regarding the requirements for dental treatment under general anaesthesia. Dentists and anaesthetists generally prefer to perform dental treatment under general anaesthesia in their own facilities. Anaesthetists consider their own facilities to be safer, as other anaesthetists are on site in case of an emergency or specialists can be consulted. For dentists, treatment can be carried out more efficiently in their own practice (e.g. when changing patients). Due to the high number of patients waiting for dental treatment under general anaesthesia, the establishment of additional operating theatres could make a positive contribution to the dental care of patients.
