<p><i>Brassica nigra</i> (black mustard) is widely used in traditional herbal therapies across various cultures due to its rich nutritional and pharmacological properties. Recent research has highlighted the seeds’ potent antioxidants, antibacterial, and antifungal activities, largely attributed to their high levels of phenolic compounds and glucosides. One key compound, sinigrin, has demonstrated potential in inhibiting cancer growth. Additionally, isothiocyanates formed from the breakdown of glucosinolates may help reduce liver cell proliferation. The seeds are also a good source of monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs), which support cardiovascular health. Furthermore, the presence of bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, phenols, alkaloids, tannins, and glycosides suggests a protective role in maintaining kidney function. This review examines the nutritional profile and therapeutic potential of <i>Brassica nigra</i>, emphasizing its diverse contributions to human health.</p>
