摘要

Since humans have existed, there has been a need for wound treatment and pain therapy. Even in ancient times, physical and ergonomic methods were used and described for treating complaints of the musculoskeletal system. Modern pain management procedures, whether medicinal or interventional, are superior to these ancient approaches, but place a strain on financially exhausted healthcare systems. Conservative approaches from the past, combined with today’s procedures, offer synergies and often more than just additive effects, greatly benefiting pain therapy.
