<p>Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) is a&#xa0;complex multisystemic disease, with post-exertional malaise as the primary symptom and can be accompanied by concomitant diseases, such as mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) and postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS). The activities of daily life are seriously impaired. If anaesthesia is necessary, adequate anaesthetic management and the avoidance of potentially harmful drugs must be ensured.</p>
