Konzept zur Klinischen Perspektiven Konferenz
摘要
Like advance care planning (ACP), the clinical perspectives conference (CPC) is an ethically reflective tool for avoiding overtreatment. By realistically weighing the benefits and harms of a planned intervention, all practitioners involved should work together to define a realistic treatment goal and derive a multiprofessional and joint indication. Particularly in cases where ACP has not yet been sufficiently implemented in the preclinical setting, or where advanced disease only becomes evident in hospital, a CPC established as a preventive tool across all medical facilities would be a very useful instrument for identifying high-risk patients at an early stage and making decisions in a more structured manner, thus avoiding overtreatment and ensuring a responsible allocation of resources.
