摘要

This study investigates the development of zirconia-glutathione (Zr-GSH) coatings on titanium implants to enhance their mechanical and biological properties. Zr-GSH coatings fabricated via electrophoretic deposition (EPD), which combines the mechanical stability of zirconia with antioxidant property of glutathione. Deposition of Zr-GSH coatings on titanium surface was confirmed through XRD and FTIR analyses. Coatings strength was investigated by scratch test, which confirms the improved mechanical stability. Surface analysis revealed a roughened, granular texture with a surface roughness of ~ 3.16 µm for Zr-GSH coating, promoting better osseointegration and cellular adhesion. Furthermore, the antioxidant activity and cell viability studies demonstrate highly promising outcome that representing a major breakthrough in the advancement of dental implant technology.
