<p>In many developing countries including Nepal, a large proportion of women are engaged in agriculture. The work in the agricultural field is strenuous and labor intensive. Benefits from the use of a renewable energy source, to such an agrarian household are numerous. Some of these benefits are obvious and directly visible to the eye. But there are various latent variables that are not directly noticeable, but affect the household in multiple ways. This paper predicts these benefits of a clean energy source from a gender wise perspective. The dynamics of improvement in the lives of women after the use of biogas, is explained by developing polytomous, binomial and multinomial logistic models. Firstly, principal components analysis was used, for the reduction of the dimensions of interrelated physical assets variables. Then based on all the principal components, the first predicted principal component variable was calculated. The households were classified into five income groups based on quantiles calculated from this variable, from lowest to highest-income groups, in the chronological order. These income groups were used as one of the independent variables in explaining the dynamics of improvement in lives of women. It was seen that the benefits of biogas were higher than 30&#xa0;times to a woman than to a man. Similarly, the utilization of time saved in other income generating activities was more than 10 times for women. This study is based on the data collected from a sample survey of 400 households of biogas users.</p>
