摘要

The rapid expansion of Internet of Things (IoT) devices within edge computing environments has led to an unprecedented increase in data generation and transmission. However, this surge introduces critical security challenges, particularly concerning data integrity and access control. Ensuring data integrity as it traverses from the cloud to edge devices and ultimately to end-user devices is paramount for preventing data breaches, unauthorized access, and tampering. This survey presents a comprehensive review of Edge Data Integrity Verification (EDIV) techniques and their integration into access control mechanisms. We explore the implementation of EDIV across both data storage and access phases, highlighting its role in preserving data integrity and enforcing access policies based on verified integrity status. Furthermore, we analyze existing methodologies, identify research gaps, and propose a roadmap for future innovations in EDIV for secure and reliable edge computing environments. This survey underscores the critical need for robust EDIV frameworks to enhance access control mechanisms in the evolving landscape of IoT-enabled edge ecosystems.
