Creativity in the age of generative AI
摘要
Generative AI has significantly impacted creative practices, prompting a fundamental reconsideration of what constitutes creativity. Traditionally, creativity has been understood mainly as a human capacity shaped by historical and cultural contexts, and the emergence of generative AI has prompted a reexamination of the conceptual boundaries and epistemological status of creativity. This study explores how the creativity exhibited by generative AI differs from traditional human creativity, and how these systems reshape conceptual understandings of creativity and transform creative practices. Our principal contribution is a normative framework for human–AI co-creation, articulated through ethical, creative, and social principles (grounded in Beneficence/Non-Maleficence, Justice/Fairness, Autonomy, and Explicability). We operationalize these principles into stakeholder guidance, thereby yielding actionable criteria for ethical, responsible, and meaningful co-creation.
