摘要

This study examines incubation, knowledge, and financial factors influencing rural entrepreneurs' intention toward non-agricultural business. The research aims to identify key enablers and barriers shaping intentions that ultimately drive entrepreneurial performance under the Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP).

Using a mixed-methods approach, the study surveyed 24 beneficiaries for qualitative data and 468 rural entrepreneurs for quantitative data across seven districts of Madhya Pradesh after the identified, Knowledge, Methodological, and sectoral as three Major Gaps from the earlier studies.

Statistical techniques, including exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modelling, were applied using SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 22.0. The findings reveal that financial support influences more than incubation and knowledge factors toward entrepreneurial intentions, which is also supported by qualitative results. In addition, entrepreneurs’ intention strongly drives business performance.

The findings are discussed in light of what policymakers can do to enhance the intentions of entrepreneurs. Overall finding provides valuable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers aiming to promote performance in rural areas.
