A comparative systematic and bibliometric review of corporate strategies for the green economy in developed and developing countries
摘要
This study examines how businesses incorporate environmental sustainability into their strategic decision-making processes, linking these efforts to the transition to a green economy and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It conducted a systematic literature review of 119 articles from the Scopus and Web of Science databases, published between 1999 and November 2024. We employ the PRISMA methodology and the VOSviewer tool to examine how corporate strategies facilitate and promote green innovation, enhance environmental performance, and ensure responsible manufacturing practices. The study identifies key drivers, challenges, and emerging themes across developed and developing economies. Additionally, we identify a research gap, particularly the absence of comprehensive frameworks for green competitiveness, as well as the impact of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria on corporate green innovation (CGI), especially in emerging markets. These findings encourage managers to develop green competitive advantages, thereby improving market positioning and navigating global environmental trends, and providing valuable insights for practitioners and policymakers.
