Achieving wellbeing through economic growth and the role of social factors in sustainable development
摘要
This study aims to investigate the relationships among investment, unemployment, inflation, quality education, economic growth, and social well-being in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia, with a focus on identifying the implications for sustainable development. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 2005 to 2023 and analyzed using statistical methods to test various hypotheses related to mediation and moderation effects. The key findings indicate that none of the proposed hypotheses were accepted, revealing a complex interplay among the examined variables. Specifically, investment and economic growth did not automatically lead to improvements in social well-being, while quality education alone was insufficient to address issues of unemployment and inflation. These findings contribute to the existing literature by highlighting the need for a holistic approach to economic development that integrates social equity and community involvement. The study underscores the importance of developing inclusive investment strategies and educational reforms that align with local labor market needs. Ultimately, the research advocates for policy frameworks that address the interconnectedness of economic and social factors to achieve sustainable development in the region.
