<p>The relationship between air quality and climate change is complex and interconnected. Particulate matter and greenhouse gases (GHGs) both play significant roles in climate change. Though sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, and particulate matter are not direct greenhouse gases like CO2, they play complex roles in climate change. Climate change presents a substantial global concern, requiring urgent worldwide collaboration, and local initiatives that are essential for mitigating its effects. This study aims to explore the environmental benefits of "No-Drive Day," an initiative introduced by Bishop Heber College, in India. By encouraging staff and students to adopt sustainable transport options such as public transport, cycling, and walking, the institution has consistently contributed for over a decade. The impact of this small-scale program, in driving meaningful climate action is presented here. Using comprehensive data from 2016 to 2024, the study evaluates the initiative's impact on air quality and noise pollution by comparing metrics between regular "Drive Days" and "No-Drive Days." Results reveal substantial average reductions in pollutants, including reductions of 8.88% of CO<sub>2</sub>, 36.72% of CO, 49.59% of NO<sub>2</sub>, 43.62% of SO<sub>2</sub>, 24.56% of PM<sub>10</sub> and 11.63% of noise. The statistical analysis confirms the significance of these reductions. These findings add to a larger picture of resilient, sustainable communities by connecting local efforts with international climate goals. This study provides insights to urban planners, policymakers, and higher educational institutions who are looking for scalable ways to combat urban pollution and control strategies.</p>
