Green Business Practices and Organizational Sustainability: An Interpretive Structure Modelling (ISM) Approach Towards Business Perspective

This study focuses on green business practices that enhance organizational sustainability. Six factors were identified with 21 sub-factors. The study examines how these factors are important for organizational performance for future sustainability.
Design/MethodologyInterpretive Structure Modelling (ISM) techniques are included to prioritize and importance of variables. 25 experts selected those related to green business practices. ISM result proposed a model for organizational sustainability.
FindingThe study revealed that recycling energy products and services, reducing carbon emissions, reusing waste, and fostering eco-friendly relationships are essential drivers for business organization sustainability. Green transportation reduces carbon emissions and increases brand loyalty through innovation and corporate governance. Strong linkage variables include improved market share, investment in sustainable projects, green promotion, pricing strategies, and training programs.
OriginalityThe study proposed a simulation model that enhances organizational sustainability and provides benchmarking to other organizations. Sustainable practices boost market share, customer retention, and brand equity while fostering innovation, operational efficiency, and stakeholder relationships.
Implication of StudyThis study provides valuable insights for scholars, professionals, policymakers, and businesspersons. The study supports the achievement of sustainable development goal and benchmarking.
