The future of Agritech: how government support drives the next wave of innovation
摘要
Rapid transformation in global agriculture is induced by the Agricultural Technology (Agritech), with governments' and innovation policies' intervention. The current study examines public sector mechanisms such as R&D funding, tax incentives, business incubation, digital infrastructure, and public–private partnerships that facilitate Agritech innovation. A mixed-method approach combining qualitative interviews and case studies (Israel, Netherlands, USA) with quantitative analysis (regression, ANOVA, factor analysis) revealed that public R&D, digital infrastructure, and the effectiveness of the policy could all increase performance in innovation significantly. Digital infrastructure had the most significant impact. Thus, the results would further be helpful in framing adaptable policy frameworks to foster sustainable, innovative agricultural ecosystems.
