<p>This study aimed to evaluate the correlation between andrological, ultrasound and thermographic testicular examination findings in young Nelore bulls before the breeding season. Thirteen cattle aged between 18 and 20&#xa0;months were examined using an andrological examination and testicular ultrasound to analyse the echotexture and digital infrared thermography to measure the surface temperature of the scrotum and testicles. The results showed that seven animals (54%) were classified as suitable for breeding, two (15%) as ideal for natural mating and four (31%) as temporarily unsuitable. Testicular echotexture did not vary between the right and left testicles, but showed a positive correlation with andrological classification, suggesting that an increase in testicular echogenicity may be associated with a reduction in seminal quality. Thermographic analysis revealed that testicular temperature remained within the expected physiological values, with no statistically significant differences between testicles and no correlation with andrological parameters. It is concluded that testicular ultrasound can be a relevant complementary test for the reproductive assessment of young bulls. At the same time, thermography, despite being a potentially helpful tool, showed no significant correlation with seminal quality in the present investigation.</p>
