<p>Agricultural and industrial byproducts are abundant in bioactive compounds and can serve as alternative resources in producing a broad spectrum of value-added commodities, including biofuel, biogas, mushrooms, and tempeh, as demonstrated in numerous studies and industries. By utilising such waste by-products as stock materials, it is possible to reduce production costs and mitigate environmental pollution. These wastes are utilised in the creation of bioenergy fuels, vitamins, antibiotics, biocatalysts, antioxidants, and diverse commercially important types of chemicals through solid-state fermentation (SSF). A diverse array of microbes is employed in the SSF operations to produce these profitable products. As a result, this study thoroughly examines and discusses the effects of SSF on the production of cost-effective products. </p>
