<p>Nest usurpation is a behavior widely reported in various bird species, in which adults occupy the nest of conspecifics or other species. We report the first record of nest piracy by the feral pigeon (<i>Columba livia</i>) from a nest of rufous-bellied thrush (<i>Turdus rufiventris</i>) during the nestling stage in an urban site. The usurpation caused the mortality of two thrush nestlings, after which the pigeon laid one egg in the usurped nest. Our study provides valuable information that contributes to the scarce records of nest usurpation by pigeons.</p>
