Topology derivation of a single-phase bridgeless three-level PFC converter based on graph theory

In this study, a topology construction method based on graph theory is proposed. First, an overview of graph theory is provided, and the topology of a new bridgeless three-level power factor correction (PFC) circuit is derived in accordance with the construction rules of graph theory. Then, one of the topologies is presented as an example to illustrate its operating principle. Second, the performance of the proposed topology structure is analyzed in detail. Thereafter, a modulation strategy with strong topology applicability and control system is designed for the proposed topologies. Finally, an experimental prototype with a rated output of 1 kW/400 V is built, and experimental results are presented to demonstrate the performance and effectiveness of the proposed topologies.
