High-quality factor coil winding method accounting for proximity effect resistance and turn-to-turn mutual inductance
摘要
In inductive wireless power transfer systems, the quality factor of the coil significantly impacts the efficiency of the wireless power transmission. To enhance the quality factor of the coil, this paper proposes a method for designing coils with non-uniform turn spacing. This design, while keeping the coil size and number of turns constant, alters the inductance and resistance characteristics of the coil solely by adjusting the turn spacing of the planar spiral coil, enhancing the quality factor of the coil. Simulation and comparative analysis of various coil designs with different turn spacings are conducted. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that at a frequency of 1 MHz, the quality factor of the coil with non-uniform turn spacing is increased by 22.8% when compared to the uniform winding method. Under identical input and load conditions, the overall efficiency of the system is improved by 32%.
