<p>The 33-year-old soldier was admitted to our hospital with a&#xa0;fracture of the proximal tibia and massive soft tissue damage, which had already been treated in the Ukraine. We decided to perform total knee arthroplasty with proximal tibial replacement along with complex reconstruction of the soft tissue and patellar tendon. Despite the young age of the patient, total knee arthroplasty is a&#xa0;reasonable option for restoring joint function to ensure reintegration into activities of daily life. Close collaboration with several specialist departments is required.</p>
