Additionally, it explores the complex interplay between tumor cells and the immune microenvironment, including the role of CD8 + T cells, macrophages, and regulatory T cells in modulating immune responses. Understanding these mechanisms is crucial for developing improved diagnostic, therapeutic, and prognostic strategies to enhance patient outcomes globally.</p> Recent Findings <p>Epigenetic alterations in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) involve mutations in noncoding DNA regions that affect rRNA processing and proteome synthesis. Key factors such as reduced expression of tumor suppressor FOXO3 lead to increased cell proliferation and decreased apoptosis. DLBCL shows distinct DNA methylation patterns and shorter telomeres compared to other B-cell neoplasms, with hypomethylated CpG islands associated with poor survival outcomes. The disease commonly presents with lymphadenopathy, significant weight loss, and symptoms such as nausea and fatigue, with diagnosis involving histological, radiological, and molecular techniques. Prognostic factors include the International Prognostic Index, genetic abnormalities like MYC and BCL2 translocations, and mutations in TP53, among others. Treatments for DLBCL encompass chemotherapy (e.g., R-CHOP), immunotherapy (e.g., rituximab, CAR-T cells), and emerging targeted therapies. Recent advancements include the use of bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, and novel biomarkers for prognosis and treatment efficacy.
