A Structural Framework for Factors Influencing Industrial Megaproject Risks Using the DEMATEL-ANP Method

The present research is to identify and rank the risks of industrial megaprojects using the Delphi method and to provide a structural model for the factors affecting industrial megaprojects risk using the DEMATEL-ANP technique. This is an applied study in terms of purpose and descriptive and desk research in terms of the data collection method. In the first phase of the study, the Delphi technique was used to identify and rank the risks. Reliable and first-class sources, the Delphi and snowball methods, and questionnaires were used to collect data. In the second phase, authentic databases and papers were used to collect data through a systematic review. The systematic approach determines the dimensions and components of economic development in industrial cities with a focus on sustainability indicators of business clusters. The DEMATEL method was used to identify and examine the mutual relationship between the criteria and develop the mapping of network relationships. The preliminary results showed that the price of foreign currency holds the first rank, delays in completion due to technical reasons, the recession, and political risks jointly take the second place, and the price of raw materials, machinery, and equipment, and political opposition to the project hold the third ranking.
