<p>This study employs social network analysis to map and analyze the ecosystem of Iranian video downloading and streaming websites, offering unprecedented insights into user behavior patterns and community structures within this digital landscape. Utilizing web scraping techniques and Alexa ranking data, the research identified 144 key websites, which were then categorized into eight distinct communities through the application of the Louvain algorithm. The findings reveal a complex, interconnected network dominated by a central legal download community, alongside user-generated content, video-on-demand, and niche content communities. The study uncovers significant bidirectional relationships between legal and user-generated content platforms, as well as asymmetric flows between video-on-demand and legal purchase communities. These patterns illuminate user preferences and content consumption behaviors, providing valuable insights for stakeholders across the digital media sector. The research contributes to the field by offering a comprehensive mapping of a national video website ecosystem, demonstrating the efficacy of social network analysis in understanding digital media consumption, and providing actionable insights for policymakers, regulators, and business leaders navigating the evolving landscape of online video content. This holistic approach to ecosystem analysis paves the way for future research in digital media consumption patterns and offers a framework for comparative studies across different national contexts.</p>
