Objective <p>A self-adaptive adjustment technology for the operating frequency of the sprinkler irrigation machine’s variable frequency pump that takes fertilization uniformity into consideration is proposed in order to automatically adjust the operating frequency of the variable frequency pump of the sprinkler irrigation machine based on the fertilization flow rate status and ensure the uniformity of fertilization.</p> Method <p>This technology uses an improved fuzzy PID controller to develop a variable frequency pump variable frequency adaptive regulation method. Initially, technical framework of the variable frequency pump for the sprinkler irrigation machine’s variable frequency speed regulation and the structure of the water and fertilizer irrigation system were analyzed. Subsequently, the whale optimization algorithm is used to set and optimize the parameters of the fuzzy PID controller, which is combined with the sprinkler irrigation machine’s real-time fertilization flow state, To achieve adaptive adjustment of the working frequency of the irrigation machine’s variable frequency pump, the frequency of the variable frequency power supply connected to the pump is adjusted, as is the speed of the variable frequency pump motor.</p> Result <p>The experimental results show that this technology can adaptively adjust the operating frequency of the variable frequency pump under preset interference and restore steady state within 1&#xa0;s.</p> Conclusion <p>This technology significantly improves fertilization uniformity, promoting the effective absorption of water and fertilizer by vegetable plants, and increasing vegetable yield by 550&#xa0;kg/ha.</p>

Objective
