Integrated Predictive Current-SVPWM Control and Modified Power Angle Control for Unified Power Quality Conditioner
摘要
Non-linear load and source voltage variations can significantly lead to poor performance for the control strategy of a unified power quality conditioner (UPQC), especially for compensating current control. A fast harmonic current-tracking performance is the key challenge. Therefore, this paper proposes the predictive current (PC) controller for an improvement of the dynamic response. To improve the harmonic detecting accuracy and apply for PC, the power angle control (PAC) with sliding window Fourier analysis (SWFA) and the Lagrange equation, called the modified PAC, is proposed in this paper. The processor-in-the-loop (PIL) technique on an eZdsp F28335 board was carried out with two conditions: load changing and voltage sag/swell conditions. Testing results confirm that the proposed control improvement can provide good harmonic current-tracking performance, a unity power factor, and compensate for the load voltage in the voltage sag/swell conditions. The percentage of total harmonic distortion and power factor are defined in IEEE Standard 519 and IEEE Standard 1459.
