<p>This paper analyzes overvoltage regions in motor drive systems based on pulse-width modulation (PWM) techniques and mitigation methods. The overvoltage resulting from voltage reflection is analyzed in motor drive systems with long transmission lines. The motor overvoltage region is compared and analyzed using voltage vector diagrams based on PWM techniques. Overvoltage regions in motor drive systems are investigated by applying conventional methods such as the maximum minimum pulse technique (MMPT) and pulse elimination technique (PET). The comparative analysis of overvoltage regions according to the PWM techniques and mitigation methods is validated through simulation and experimental results.</p>
