A Pair Face Method for Cogging Torque Reduction in V-Shape Rotor Design of PMSM
摘要
This paper introduces a novel pair face method (PFM) for V-Shape rotor design in permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The proposed method significantly enhances average torque while decreasing both the cogging torque and torque ripples. Finite element analysis is utilized to simulate five initial rotor models employing single face method. Five topologies with new rotor configurations are assessed with the same size usage of PMs and machine. Consequently, fifteen rotor models are developed by using the innovative PFM. The electromagnetic performance of proposed rotor models is investigated and compared with conventional V-shape rotor PMSM reference structure. Multi-criteria decision analyses are used to evaluate set of data based on the multiple criteria. It is also employed to distinguish most fulfilled model that reduces the cogging torque and enhances the average torque.
