摘要

This paper analyzes the overvoltage in motor drive systems with different transmission line lengths. The variation in voltage on the motor side is characterized based on the propagation time determined by the transmission line length. The line-to-line overvoltage is determined according to the magnitude of the reference voltage. Based on the analysis, an overvoltage exceeding the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standards is defined. Voltage variations are analyzed to generalize the regions in which overvoltage occurred. Various simulations and experimental results verify the analysis of the transmission line length and the generalization of the overvoltage occurrence regions.
