A Novel Cascaded Back-to-Back Three-Level Bridgeless Boost PFC Rectifiers
摘要
The article proposes a new bridgeless, three-level power factor correction topology based on a back-to-back structural. The back-to-back three-level rectifier with cascade cell (BTR-CC) utilizes cascaded bi-directional switching on the DC side to achieve three voltage levels between the bridge arms throughout the frequency cycle. The technique combines bridgeless PFC circuits with multilevel technology, making it well-suited for applications with high-efficiency and high-power density requirements. This effectively reduces harmonic content and equivalent switching frequency of the system. The derivation of the topology, the operating principle, and the circuit performance of the BTR-CC converter are presented and analyzed in this paper. An experimental prototype with a 220 V/50 Hz input and a 1 kW/400 V rated output has been designed based on the BTR-CC circuit. The experimental results validate the feasibility of the proposed single-phase BTR-CC design scheme and confirm the accuracy of the theoretical analysis.
