Life Prediction of Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent Protection Based on Wiener Process with Random Effects
摘要
Residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection (RCBO) is an electrical device designed to protect users from electrical hazards. Reliable service life prediction of RCBOs is essential to ensure their long-term operational dependability. This paper introduces a life prediction method based on the Wiener process, incorporating random effects to describe individual degradation differences among RCBOs. First, an accelerated degradation test (ADT) is conducted, using temperature and humidity as the accelerated stress factors and residual operating current as the degradation characteristic to obtain degradation data. Subsequently, the Wiener degradation model with random effects is developed to capture the degradation differences. Bayesian estimation is employed to update the model parameters. Finally, the pseudo failure life of the RCBO under each accelerated stress condition is predicted, and the service life of the RCBO at normal temperature (25°C) and humidity (50%RH) is derived using the Peck equation.
