The Effect of Magnetic Slot Wedges on the Vibration of High-Voltage Line-Starting Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

Magnetic slot wedges are often used in high-voltage motors to improve efficiency, however, the influence of magnetic slot wedges on motor vibration cannot be ignored, especially in high-voltage line-starting permanent magnet synchronous motor (HVLSPMSM) with the high content of air gap harmonics produced by double slots for stator and rotor. To figure out the influence of magnetic slot wedges on electromagnetic vibration, a 10kv, 630 kW HVLSPMSM is analyzed at magnetic slot wedges with different relative permeabilities. Firstly, the effects of magnetic slotted wedges at different permeabilities on the torque ripple and radial electromagnetic force of HVLSPMSM are investigated, and the laws of magnetic wedges on the torque ripple and electromagnetic harmonic amplitude are obtained. Secondly, the force of the magnetic wedge with different permeability is analyzed, and the influence of the magnetic wedge on the stator mode is clarified. The HVLSPMSM electromagnetic-mechanical coupling model considering the magnetic wedge structure and the force on the magnetic slot wedge is established, and the effects of magnetic slot wedges with different permeabilities on the vibration spectrum are obtained by numerical calculation. This paper provides theoretical guidance for improving HVLSPMSM in electromagnetic vibration.
