摘要

The importance of social justice issues in applied behavior analysis (ABA) is increasing. In recent years, there have been higher rates of social media posts, webinars, organizational diversity statements, and the creation of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Boards. Professional organizations in ABA must also recognize this need by providing conference sessions on these topics to best inform practice, as many practitioners are not trained in multiculturalism and diversity issues during their coursework. The current study conducted a content analysis of conference programming, examining trends in presentations, including poster sessions, at the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) and Association for Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA) annual conferences from 2018 to 2023. Using a keyword search, presentations were included if they contained terms related to race, religion, sexual orientation, language, geography, gender, or socioeconomics. The results, along with recommendations for advancing social justice representation in conference programming, are shared.
