<p>The present study describes a new species of parasitoid wasp, <i>Tetrastichus narayandebnathi</i> Gadallah, Chakrovorty &amp; Bhattacharjee (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae: Tetrastichinae: Tetrastichini) from the Rajarhat wetlands of Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The new species is recorded as a gregarious primary parasitoid of a tortoise beetle pupa (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Cassidinae). Among more than 500 known species worldwide, this represents only the third account of the genus <i>Tetrastichus</i> Haliday, 1844 as a parasitoid of Cassidinae, and only the second report from India among 86 valid Indian species. Morphometric data, high-resolution light microscope images, and wing light interference image with RGB values are provided. The new species closely resembles <i>T. tunicus</i> Narendran, 1989, but differs in body morphometrics, leg coloration, and hypopygium length.</p> Graphical abstract <p></p>
