<p><i>Chukrasia tabularis</i> A. Juss (Meliaceae) is an important plantation tree in Vietnam and is grown for its high quality wood. However, damage caused by a weevil species is widespread and poses a potential threat to <i>C. tabularis</i> plantations. This study aimed to identify the pest and determine its damage to <i>C. tabularis</i> trees in plantations in Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces, Vietnam. The results showed that the weevil infesting <i>C. tabularis</i> trees in Vietnam is <i>Pimelocerus hylobioides</i> Desbrochers, 1891 (Coleoptera: Curculionidae). This pest mainly attacked &gt; 10-year-old trees with damage incidence and damage severity of 15–18% and 12–14%, respectively. Further monitoring of the pest is required for effective management of this weevil in the future.</p>

摘要

Chukrasia tabularis A. Juss (Meliaceae) is an important plantation tree in Vietnam and is grown for its high quality wood.
