摘要

Euschistus (Euschistus) rubiginosus Dallas, 1851, was originally described from a female specimen collected in Brazil. Male specimens from Peru and Ecuador were described by Rolston in 1984. In the present study, we redescribe the female based on freshly reared individuals and specimens deposited in the Museum of Entomology “Klaus Raven Büller” that were collected from agricultural fields in Peru. The female genitalia are described here for the first time. In addition, we provide new data on its geographical distribution in Peru and crop hosts, contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of its pest status.
